Basil is a man of transgender experience, writer, photographer, intersectional activist and Southerner who wears his heart on his sleeve. A proud double cancer, his poetry is often connected to astrology, water, and loss. He is the founder and Executive Director at Transilient. After many years spent in the service industry, Basil is also a self described coffee snob and he can also discuss any genre of music from any decade with any human willing to nerd out.
